I went last year and it was a blast...but if they are saying that they don't want your buisness my motto is S C R E W Myrtle...we should do it someplace fun that wants the buisness. I still think that New Orleans would be the place!!!

Finally home so now I can chime into this thread, Yeah Myrtle did still have lots of cars, We had fun but there did not seem to be much going on that was focused for bikes. Unlike Daytona that has to many events that are just for bikes Myrtle was lacking. Fortunately my crew was not harrassed by the police at all but we stayed clear of Myrtle and just stayed North. I am pretty sure that I will not be attending Myrtle next year though. I can hang out at home or just about anywhere, I dont need to go to Myrtle to do it. We definately need to try and put something together...

I just can't see making the 20+ hour trip to go someplace that doesn't want the buisness...Vegas is a trip I would make anyway that would be way cool...but, deep in my heart I am still wishing that the bike week thing in New Orleans would take off, then I could show some of you guys how fun our city is!!!

You guys ought to consider Panama City. They have 2 rallies a year. It is a very bike friendly town. Hotels and Condo's are plentiful and afordable. We went and stayed 3 to a condo that could have slept 5. The condo was only $103 a night. There is great night life as well as plenty of bike shows, Vendor areas, beautiful beaches with no shortage of eye candy. Of all the events we attend this is a favorite hands down.

Panama city sounds good, but I was under the impression that Lee and a few of us were going to work on Savannah for 2010, If we start having bike week in two many places it will be hard to attend them all. Why don't we consider just one location and work hard at making it a success. So what is it going to be since everyone has pretty much decided on not going to myrtle next year.

:Plus+1:
Thought that was the plan also crowbar.
Yeah, at this point, I'm still thinking Savannah. We got connections there already. It's just still a great central location for almost all of us to be able to participate at.

Why not have bike week in a different location every year? Kinda like how the NBA has the All-Star game in a different city every year so all the fans can enjoy it at some point. Like maybe one year have it in vegas, than the next in Miami, then maybe NYC? Move it around, I think that could work? Then that gives people the chance to go to different places they normally wouldn't go.

With it jumping around from year to year is exactly how they have National Bikers Round Up.......
