I really want to stretch, and widen the rear. For a 2007 zx-10r I want to put a 240 on her. My question is what stretch should I put on her with the under tail exhaust? Next I would like to use the stock wheels, and well we all know the rear caliper will be a distance from the swing arm. So mounting the rear caliper is a mounting issue unless I make something. Next will the rear tire change my speedo? I know this isn't an issue most people are concerened about but I am. Is the rear tire circomerence different from a 190? I know the chain will have to be longer, what link count will I need with the stretch recommended?? I have stretched bikes before but it seems like finding the correct info and being prepaired is a better thing than flying in and trying to make things work. I appreciate your guys' thought and expertise!

I have a 8 inch streatch and I bought a 150 link chain and maybe cut out 10 links. That's with my stock sprockets. The spedo should stay the same .

with wanting to have stock wheels the best way is to have some one or (us lol) CNC you some hubs just to keep the wheel centered also who ever wideins your wheel needs to know that you are haveing hubs made to center the wheel and they will cut the wheel for that must guys just cut one side of the wheel and have it widen but if you want it centered and not off you can have that done also which we can do and with the speedo it will not make the reading off because it reads off your front grear now if you change the front grear you can get a speedo heeler and it will make the speed right I hope this helps and let us know if we can HEAVY HITTER CYCLES :thumbup1::thumbup1:

I know where the speedo reads. I was wondering if the tires where the same circumference? I know this would affect the speed reading. Thats what I was wanting to know in case I would need a speedo healer. I was wanting the wheel centered. I think it would look a bit weird offset?
Dragracer what has been the best length for the ZX10? You guys having experience is what I need. The bike is lowered 3'' so Im a bit worried about clearence between the tires and undertail exhaust. Most ZX10's I have seen stretched go to the sidewinder exhust.
GOD I LOVE THIS FORUM!!!!!! MY new home!!!!! lol

I think they look best 8" over and shorter....usually thats where everybody stays at with the liter bikes with a 240 or narrower tire. Check out the Roaring Toyz web site under the gallery section ...we got a few on there

your rear tire will be bigger than stock. your gonna have to run an 18 inch rim instead of your stock 17 for the 240. but when you have your stock one widened they will do that mod also. i wouldnt go to far back with the stretch, maybe 10 at the most. just my opinion. either way it will look really good with those color rims!! dont really know about the undertail exhaust though, someone will chime in on that one for ya

What's good with you Kabuki,
I have a 06 ZX-10 and I went with a SS arm with a 240, it's 8" over and I love it just like that I wouldn't go any longer. Now the tire is a 18 instead of a 17, looks a lot better and I haven't seen a differece in the speedo. I did put a power commander on it with a custom dyno. So she will get up and move. With your rear brake all you will have to do is go with steel braided lines and they will cut them so they will run with whatever stretch you decide to go with. If your looking to have your stock wheels converted to a 240 you could do that as well, that is what my friend did with his 14. To be honest with you I would lose the factory exhaust, that is a lot of extra weight and go with a shorty. I have the one that Roaring Toyz makes.
If your interested I have a set of chrome zx-10 factory wheels for sale.

Could you get your buddies ZX14 rear wheel pictured for me. I would love to see it. I have a wrecked ZX10 in the shop right now that needs wheels, how much?:popcorn

Kabuki I would like to get 700 for both of them but make me and offer and we can go from there. They have never been mounted after being chromed. I told the shop that put my 240 on that I wanted to keep my old wheels and I guess they thought I forgot about them and sent them out to get chromed so he could sell them and long story short he was forced to give me the wheels back (chromed) his lost.
