So I went to bike night tonight with some buddies and we are riding through downtown and a cop who was busy with someone else sees me out of the corner of his eye and tells me to stop. He tells me that he is gunna give me a 2 point ticket if i don't turn off my blue LED'S. Now i understand he is trying to uphold the law which is his job but at the same time I had about 3 cops pass by me tonight and didn't even stop even though i was lit up. Now i want a lil advice from my fellow bikers, should i keep rocking the blues or get rid of them and go to a different color? And yes........i know i should've checked the law before i bought this color!

Red & Blue are the major no-no colors in most of the country as far as riding with your lights on. Just to be safe don't ride with your leds on, saves you the hassle of butthole cops that wish they could be you.

Led's are a touchy subject. The mood of the cop seems to make up most of the hassles. But riding with them on just gives them a reason to pull you over. Just my 2 cents.

Personaly I don't see the big deal...but you could just use them for parking lot exibition.

actually its not against the law!!!m just the definition is real thin. basically u can have any color as long as the bulb is not visible meaning all possible angles. mostly cops pull ppl with leds if they c them from the front( as in bulb) but it is in fact not against the law 2 have them. when i was in the military i study the ucmj hand book back and forth. and b/c of that i was hassle 4 some things but it was wat i knew that corrected the problem. the law states its not wat u kno but what u can prove in a court of law!!!! lol

In Fl. they specifically state that blue or red lights on a vehicle is unlawful. Most only run their LEDs while parked because most of all the cool colors are out of the question. Green is always a go at any time though.
