West coast events May 2009

Myself & the wife are holidaying in LA in May.
Can anyone point me towards any bike nights etc in LA or Vegas.
Hopefully we can get a flavor for the west coast scene & yes I wanted to go to M.beach as well but the dollar is kicking the UK pound so maybe next year for east coast.
